We are pleased to invite you to our first session of “Fireside chat” series in 2020 – a public talk with Baron Julien Klener.
SPEAKER
Baron Klener is a professor of linguistics at Ghent University and longtime president of the Consistoire Central Israélite de Belgique (2000-2015). This session will offer a cross-community angle by giving us a chance to explore how one finds a place for their identity in the life path across Jewish and Armenian diasporas and how to balance career and community leadership. This is a unique opportunity to hear from Baron Klener himself about his fascinating life path - from the dark years of being a hidden child during the Holocaust to the successful career in academia and longtime leadership of Consistoire Central Israélite de Belgique.
