In order to value the Armenian cultural heritage and national traditions and pass them on to new generations, Hamazkayin Canada has specially invited the “AKUNK” Ethnographic Ensemble from the homeland, the head of whose creative group is Artur Shahnazaryan, to perform in 3 cities: Montreal, Cambridge and Toronto.
Since 1974, the ensemble has performed exceptional performances on various stages, earning the high appreciation of lovers of Armenian song and dance.
The “AKUNK” Ethnographic Ensemble comes to us from the origins of our country, presenting us with a rich repertoire from almost all regions of Western Armenia, including wedding, festive, work songs, as well as lullabies, comedies, love songs, historical, patriotic, lyrical and other songs.
