This FREE Zoom training is for practitioners interested in handling federal habeas petitions for people in immigration custody -- including immigration practitioners, federal practitioners, and any practitioner new to either discipline. The format will include opening remarks from the bench, a plenary panel-session, and breakout sessions on: (1) applicable immigration law, and (2) pertinent federal habeas practice, including the new forthcoming C.D. Cal. General Order. Featuring panelists with significant relevant experience and co-sponsors working regularly in the field, the training will provide attorneys with the tools necessary to assist in such matters.
