As global power dynamics shift, Armenia finds itself navigating a complex neighborhood and a fluid broader landscape. At the same time, these uncertainties create opportunities for Armenia to shape its future strategic trajectory. Dr. Poghosyan will explore how Armenia has been adapting amid declining traditional alliances and rising regional uncertainty, and examine new strategic openings that aim to strengthen cooperation and Armenia's economic and technological resilience.

Dr. Benyamin Poghosyan, senior research fellow at APRI Armenia, researches Armenian foreign policy and South Caucasus geopolitics. He has served as director of the Institute for National Strategic Studies at the Armenian Ministry of Defense, lecturer at the Russian-Armenian University, and research fellow at the American Studies Center of Yerevan State University. With a PhD in history from the Armenian National Academy of Sciences and a certificate in International Security Studies from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, he has authored more than 250 academic papers and op-eds.

APRI Armenia is an independent, nonpartisan think tank and policy accelerator focused on advancing regional security, sustainable prosperity, and civic engagement within Armenia and the broader region.
