The Center for Armenian Arts is honored to present an evening with Vicken Tarpinian — acclaimed Armenian singer, songwriter, composer, and performer whose artistic journey has connected Beirut, Paris, and Armenian communities across the world.

Born in Lebanon and later based in Paris, Vicken developed a distinctive musical language rooted in Armenian tradition while opening it to contemporary arrangements and wider international audiences. Over decades, he has performed across Europe, the Middle East, and the United States, appeared on major stages including the Olympia Theater in Paris, and built a discography of more than ten albums carrying messages of memory, friendship, love, and reflection.

His work preserves the authenticity of Armenian melody while giving it renewed life through original interpretation — a musical path that has made him one of the enduring voices of Armenian diaspora song.

Հայկական Արվեստի Կենտրոնը սիրով ներկայացնում է Վիգէն Դարբինեան — երգիչ, երգահան, կոմպոզիտոր և կատարող, որի երաժշտական ուղին միավորել է Բեյրութը, Փարիզը և հայկական համայնքները աշխարհի տարբեր երկրներում։

Լիբանանում ծնված և հետագայում Փարիզում ստեղծագործած Վիգէն Դարբինեանը հայկական երգարվեստին տվել է յուրահատուկ նոր շունչ՝ պահպանելով ավանդական հայկական մեղեդու ինքնությունը և այն ներկայացնելով ժամանակակից մոտեցմամբ։ Նրա համերգները հնչել են Եվրոպայում, Միջին Արևելքում և Միացյալ Նահանգներում, իսկ ստեղծագործական ճանապարհը ներառում է տասից ավելի ալբոմներ։

Նրա երգերում հիշողությունը, սերը, կարոտը և ազգային զգացողությունը միավորվում են երաժշտական խոր արտահայտչությամբ՝ ստեղծելով սերունդներին միավորող արվեստ։

Soirée musicale avec Vicken Tarpinian

Le Center for Armenian Arts présente une soirée exceptionnelle avec Vicken Tarpinian, auteur, compositeur et interprète dont le parcours artistique relie Beyrouth, Paris et les communautés arméniennes du monde entier.

Né au Liban puis installé à Paris, Vicken a su renouveler la chanson arménienne en conservant la pureté de la mélodie traditionnelle tout en l’ouvrant à des arrangements contemporains. Son parcours l’a conduit sur de nombreuses scènes internationales, notamment à l’Olympia à Paris, avec une discographie riche de plus de dix albums.

Ses chansons portent mémoire, sensibilité, réflexion et fidélité à la culture arménienne.
